If you
feel your site needs dynamic new presence or a 'makeover', I can
help you get a new look, while keeping the desirable elements. The procedure
for designing graphics and web pages is one of constant change. The
first step is for you to tell me, in as much detail as possible,
what your requirements are. The information you provide will
be refined as the design process continues. I will be happy to render
any assistance you need in the planning of your page layout, in
order for the design to be effective.

Retainer Fees -
a proportion of the agreed upon price must be paid in advance
(before work begins on your project) to retain my services.
Projects
valued in excess of $500 (US funds)
- a 30% retainer would be required. The balance may be paid in two installments of 35% each,
with the last installment due on completion of the project.
Projects
valued below $500 (US funds)
- a 50% retainer would be required. Entire balance due on completion, before
the final
delivery of files.
Once the first
payment has been received (if paid by check, it must clear my
bank first - approximately 5-10 business days), a sample graphic (mockup) will be created and
emailed to you for the first set of adjustments to be made. A
maximum of two free mockups (two different designs) are included in
the price.
Mockups
- two (2) free design mockups may be provided after payment of the
Retainer fee. Creation of additional mockups (different designs)
will be charged at an hourly rate of $25.
(US funds)
Revisions
- five (5) free revisions may be made
during the design process. Once the design is settled upon, the graphics will be created and
a full page sample will then be uploaded onto a secure viewing area
and you may request five free minor revisions of the page.
Any additional revisions will be charged at an hourly rate of
$25 (US funds).
A revision
does not include any changes to the graphics that have already been created
and agreed upon. You must
be sure that the sample graphics meet your requirements before the
page design is finalized. Additional charges will be incurred at
the rate of $25 (US funds) per hour in order to make major changes to
the graphics.
A "revision" includes the following:
*
Changing the layout of the page
* Adding extra
graphics.
If you change
your mind about the page design and graphics after the page has been
made, you will be charged for a completely new webset design.
All
additional fees incurred during the design process must be agreed upon by you
before work continues.
If you decide
to cancel the project at any time after work has commenced, you will
be either billed a percentage of the full price quoted, or
reimbursed a percentage of the amount already paid, according to the
amount of work completed upon cancellation.
As soon as the
design is completed, the balance of fees owing must be paid in full
before delivery. If paid by check, it must clear my bank first.
When the final payment is processed your graphics or webset will be
emailed to you in a ZIP file.
I
also keep clients informed of the status of their design project
with mock layouts and test pages that are easily accessed online by
password so you will know exactly what your site looks like before
it ever goes live. When your web design project is completed,
I will submit your site to five of the top free search
engines/directories and other lesser-known search
engines/directories worldwide. Submission is included free of
charge with my design services.
Domain
Name Registration - Unlike many design companies, I do not
register your domain name. This is so you will always have
full ownership and are never obligated to maintain any of my
services. I highly recommend only TWO companies that you
should even consider when registering your domain name...
Register.com and
Network Solutions. Don't
trust any other company with this extremely important task.
Other companies just charge you extra and use Register.com or
Network Solutions anyway! You can just cut out the middle man
and save time, money and future headaches.
Note: Your domain name should represent your website
intent as much as possible. This will also help with
"branding" or name recognition. It should be brief and easy to
remember.
